dental fail

Well they say there is a first time for everything...

Today, I got two cavity fillings in two upper teeth. Wasn't too bad or anything...but just the thought of something being drilled into your tooth is not the best feeling in the world.

But other than that, I am really excited for Christmas. It always seems that I have medical things to take care of around this time. This year is cavities. 6 years ago, it was a compound fractured toe.

Oh the memories...

boy meets world

I now have season 4 on DVD...after waiting for about 4 years because it was previously canceled.

Enough said. I am a happy person right now

enter the grid!

TRON LEGACY!!! Still have not seen it yet...in this holiday time, money is a little tight so I have to be mindful of what I spend money on.

But other than that, I am very excited about the fact that Tron has come back to the world of movies. Tron Legacy is a sequel to the original from 1982, but in many ways, it is somewhat of a reboot as well...it updates it to our generation. Everything is fresh, new, and looking darn cool.

And I think what excites me most about the movie...the original soundtrack by Daft Punk. That is enough for me.

exit through the gift shop

I am a big fan of street art. People have considered it graffiti...but to me, graffiti has no point. Street art is on a completely different level.

Just to name a few, there are artists such as Shepard Fairey, Mr. Brainwash, and a man named Banksy.

Banksy is by far the most elusive, secretive, and most famous street artist in the whole world. The best part...no one knows exactly who he is. Most of his work can be seen in England, specifically London and Bristol. But he also has art that is seen in Los Angeles, New York, and even the wall the separates Israel and Palestine.

I recently saw a film that talks all about the artist.

home made christmas gifts

I have always been a person for home made gifts...does that mean I'm poor? Not necessarily. I feel most of the time that a home-made gift has much more thought and meaning behind it

Every year, I've done something just like that. This year, I am making a special home-made gift for my Dad that I think he will really enjoy.

Here is a great home made gift that I found...

that christmas spirit...

December is always my favorite month. Christmas is just a special time for me every year and always puts me in a good mood.

And I just sit here enjoying all my favorite holiday movies...one being "The Santa Clause" with Tim Allen.

I love the holidays :)

Self-Portrait

My good friend introduced me to a photographer online named Dave Hill and not only are his photos amazing, but they way he composites them into huge scenes and the editing is one of a kind. People think that he has this certain style that only he can do. And I think that is true. But that doesn't mean that there aren't others who try and replicate the sort of effect that he does in terms of his editing. This is my attempt at a self portrait. I really like it because for one, I take better "Serious" photos (although I'm not an angry person) and the editing and color really works for it. :)

cartoon portraits...

Over the past 2 days, I found a fun way to enhance a portrait.

And it's not something that takes 2 seconds to do on Photoshop...more like 2-3 hours.

This is a portrait of your truly :) its an assignment for a class

Finally better :)

It's about time that I am feeling better. Being sick really sucks. I don't like it.

But I wanted to take the time to talk about a fun hobby of mine :) podcasting

I am a big fan of podcasting because it is a fun way for all of us to live out our dreams of being a radio host and having our own show that we can make as our own. I started listening to a theme park podcast called CoasterRadio.com. This is still a great podcast and I love listening to it every week.

This inspired me to create my own podcast, Dudes 4 Life Radio. It didn't last too long, but I took some effort to make it sound decent.

I'm really wanting to do it again.

Go check it out

been sick :(

Well for the past few days, I have been fighting off a cold so I have taken the time to rest and feel better.

I am almost there.

But there are a few good things to report in the last few days:

Giants won the World Series...so that is cool for our area

And I bought Toy Story 3 on DVD!

That made me feel better

If only there was a better way to fight off a runny nose...

happy halloween?

Well I have to first admit that I am not really a big fan of October. Most of the month involves everything dark...

And Halloween just seems to be the climax of it all.

But for some reason today, Halloween seemed to be very relaxing. I have gotten the chance to do quite a bit of relaxing. I also got the chance to watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" my favorite thing to watch during this time.

But my favorite part about Halloween is the fact that tomorrow begins the true holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite times of the year and I can't wait.

I think for now, I will either continue reading my book or watch Charlie Brown again :)

the green mile

Well for the past few days, I've been attempting to read "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. I have to say...its a very difficult book to read.

His writing style consists of not using quotation marks to display dialogue...to name a few things. It is an interesting story, but I found myself having to read parts again to understand what was going on. This is a book that would be better in audio.

But I am now reading "The Green Mile" by Stephen King. Now I am very excited about this book. It is a serial novel with 6 separate sections, but I have already read the first one. I am really enjoying this story already.

This one I should be able to get through pretty quickly
